Community

More than training

A commitment to accessible coaching, plus the D3 Board. Practical guidance, motivation, and education built around the people D3 serves.

You Got This. We Got This.

D3 Built for Life exists because quality coaching shouldn't be out of reach for someone who's genuinely committed. Financial hardship shouldn't automatically exclude a committed person from serious, structured training, so community is built into how D3 operates, not treated as an afterthought.

Community-Supported Access

D3 offers reduced-rate arrangements on a case-by-case basis for clients facing financial hardship. If cost is a barrier, reach out. Every situation is considered individually.

Free Community Workouts

Weekly free community workouts open training up beyond paying clients. A way to bring people into the D3 approach with no cost barrier at all.

Education for Everyone

The D3 Knowledge Center and D3 Board are free resources, open to anyone, not just active clients. Accountability and education shouldn't require a monthly membership to access.

What This Isn't

This isn't charity, and it isn't a discount program. It's a belief that a person who shows up, puts in the work, and stays committed deserves access to real coaching, regardless of what they can currently afford.

Train Together

Free community workouts

Free. No charge and no sign-up needed. Just show up. These are group sessions, not 1-on-1 coaching. Everyone trains together at their own pace. Come ready to work.

Sunday Crew

Every Sunday, 7 to 9am. Cardio and agility work.

Friday Circuits

Every Friday. Circuit training.

Where we meet

Locations rotate across Freeport and Nassau County, including Hempstead Lake State Park, Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve, and the Baldwin High School track. Each week's spot is picked based on the weather.

Bad weather backup: a local gym (members only). Members train together there; D3 is not acting as a trainer at that facility.

Community Workout Waiver

Community Workout Participation Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability

I want to take part in the free community workouts organized by D3 Built for Life (Train Together sessions, including Sunday Crew and Friday Circuits). I understand and agree to the following:

1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION. I am choosing to take part voluntarily. These are group sessions, not 1-on-1 coaching. I will train at my own pace and I am responsible for judging what my body can handle. I will stop and rest if I feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.

2. WHAT THE WORKOUTS INVOLVE. Sessions may include running, cardio, agility drills, circuit training, and bodyweight exercises, held outdoors at parks, tracks, beaches, and other public locations. Locations rotate and are picked based on the weather.

3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I understand that physical activity carries risks, including but not limited to: muscle strains, sprains, falls, collisions with people or objects, overexertion, dehydration, heat or cold related illness, insect bites or stings, uneven or slippery surfaces, traffic and other hazards of outdoor public locations, and injuries caused by the actions of other participants. I accept these risks voluntarily.

4. HEALTH. I confirm that I am physically able to take part, that I have no medical condition that prevents me from exercising, and that no doctor has told me to avoid physical activity. If anything about my health changes, I will not attend until I am cleared to do so.

5. RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I release and hold harmless D3 Built for Life, Deveen Davis, and any coaches, volunteers, or assistants involved in these sessions, from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation, including claims of negligence, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

6. ONE WAIVER, EVERY WORKOUT. This waiver covers every free D3 community workout I attend from the date I sign it. I can cancel it at any time by emailing coach@d3builtforlife.com.

7. MINORS. If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign below and agrees to all of the above on the minor's behalf.

This waiver should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before it is used as an official legal document. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

Electronic Signature

Document version: Community Workout Waiver v1.0, September 2026. By typing my full legal name above, I confirm that I have read and understand this document in full, that the information I provided is accurate and complete, and that my typed name acts as my legal signature, just as if I had signed by hand. I agree to all terms above.

The D3 Board

Mindset. Discipline. Community.

Short form D3 messages, practical guidance, motivation, and community engagement. One idea per post, organized around eight categories.

Thermometer or Thermostat

A thermometer reads the temperature. A thermostat changes it.

Read the room, but do not become the room.

  • When there is chaos, bring calm.
  • When there is negativity, bring perspective.
  • When there is disorder, bring discipline.

Character Over Position

Do not judge a person by their position, but by their character.

  • Titles change. Status fades. Character remains.
  • Respect the position. Never look down on the person.

Mindset

Mindset

The Next Rep

D3 starts in the mind.

You do not have to see the whole workout, the whole month, or the whole transformation before you start. You just have to focus on the next rep.

Finish this set. Hit the standard. Then move to the next one.

Your brain moves toward the picture you create, so create a picture of finishing, not a picture of quitting. One rep at a time is how every hard thing actually gets done.

Mindset

The Picture You Create

Your brain moves toward the picture you create.

If the picture in your head is "I cannot do this," your body follows that picture. If the picture is "I finish what I start," your body follows that instead.

This is not about ignoring how hard something is. It is about deciding, before the set starts, what you are actually focused on.

Pick the picture on purpose.

Mindset

Consistency Over Excuses

Motivation shows up when it wants to. Discipline shows up on schedule.

Some days training feels easy. Most days it does not. The difference between people who get results and people who do not usually is not talent. It is whether they showed up on the days that felt hard too.

Consistency over excuses. Every time.

Discipline

Discipline

Know Yourself. Improve Yourself.

You cannot fix what you will not look at.

Real improvement starts with an honest look at where you actually are. Not where you wish you were. Not where you used to be. Once you know yourself, you can build a real plan to improve.

Skip the self awareness step, and you are just guessing.

Discipline

Semper Gumby: Always Flexible

Semper Gumby. Always flexible.

The gym is closed? Go for a walk, run, or ride. No equipment? Bodyweight work still counts. Short on time? Do what fits instead of doing nothing.

The plan will change. The objective does not have to. Stay attached to the goal, not to one specific path to get there.

Semper Gumby. Always flexible. Always moving forward.

Discipline

What Matters

You do not have unlimited time, energy, or attention. None of us do.

The question worth asking is not how do I do more. It is am I spending what I have on what actually matters. Training, recovery, the people around you. That is a short list. Protect it.

Cut the rest.

Training

Training

Train Smarter, Not Just Harder

Getting tired is not the goal. Getting better is.

It is easy to measure a workout by how wrecked you feel afterward. It is harder, and more useful, to measure it by whether you actually moved better, got stronger, or built capacity you did not have before.

Controlled tempo. Real effort. A rep in reserve, not a rep in collapse. That is how progress gets built without breaking the body down faster than it can recover.

Training

Nobody Stands Around

Rest between sets matters. Standing around waiting for your turn does not.

D3 circuits are built so everyone stays engaged. Work, recover, work again. Instead of one person training while three people watch. Small groups do not have to mean slow groups.

More movement. Less waiting. Same coaching attention on every rep.

Category

Recovery

Recovery

Recovery Is Not Optional

The workout does not build you. The recovery after it does.

Training breaks the body down on purpose, in a controlled way. Recovery, sleep, rest days, proper fueling, is what turns that breakdown into actual progress. Skip it, and you are just accumulating fatigue instead of building strength.

Push hard. Recover harder. Both halves count.

Recovery

Listen to the Body

Soreness is not always progress. Sometimes it is a signal.

Good programming pays attention to posture, movement quality, and how the body is actually responding, not just how much weight went up. Pushing through the wrong kind of discomfort does not build resilience. It just borrows against tomorrow.

Train hard. Train smart. Know the difference.

Nutrition

Nutrition

Fuel the Work

No amount of training outworks poor fuel.

Nutrition does not have to be complicated to matter. Eating enough, eating consistently, and supporting the work you are putting in. That is most of what nutrition needs to do for the average person training for strength, endurance, and longevity.

Simple and consistent beats perfect and abandoned.

Nutrition

Consistency Beats Perfection

You do not need a perfect diet. You need a repeatable one.

The best nutrition plan is the one you can actually follow for months, not the one that looks impressive for a week and falls apart by day ten. Small, sustainable habits compound. Extreme, unsustainable ones do not.

Pick what you can keep doing.

Longevity

Longevity

Train for Decades, Not Weeks

This is not a 12 week program. It is a lifetime approach.

Short term programs chase short term results. D3 is built around a different question: what does it take to still be strong, capable, and independent 20 or 30 years from now? That question changes how you train today.

Built for life. Not just for summer.

Longevity

The Long Game

The workouts that matter most are not always the hardest ones. They are the ones you can still be doing in ten years.

Longevity is not built through intensity alone. It is built through smart training, real recovery, and habits that hold up over decades, not just through a single hard season.

Train for the long game.

Character

Character

Thermometer or Thermostat

A thermometer just reads the room. A thermostat sets it.

Some people react to whatever energy is around them. Tired group, low motivation, bad weather, they match it. Others set the tone regardless of what is around them.

D3 is built around thermostat people. Show up, set the standard, and let the environment follow, instead of waiting for the environment to decide your effort for you.

Character

Character Over Position

A title does not make someone reliable. Character does.

Rank, role, and position can come and go. What stays constant is how someone shows up when no one is checking, whether they do the work right when it would be easier not to.

That is what actually earns trust. Not the title. The character behind it.

You Are Not Doing This Alone

Training alone works. Training with people who are pushing toward something too, works better.

D3 was built on the idea that accountability is easier to keep when you are not the only one carrying it. Partner sessions, small group training, community workouts. The structure is different, but the principle is the same: you go further with people in your corner.

Built for Life, Not Just for Summer

D3 is not a program built around a deadline. There is no "before summer" countdown here.

Strength, endurance, and longevity are not seasonal goals. They are a way of building a body and a mindset that carries you through every part of life, not just the parts people can see in a photo.

Built for life. Not just for summer.
